The way Taylor ended Katy's career

Recommended Posts

Completely effortless. She made a hit song out of her literally without name-dropping and only spoke out about this incident one (1) time in which this incident has been reported. Katy has tweeted, and talked about it several times, and finally opened up about it in detail on Karaoke Carpool (I don't know why she was on there either) while she had been promoting Swish Swish - the song she said wasn't about Taylor. Taylor responded by allowing her discography to be streamed on Spottily for all the same day Witness was released.

Katy's awful media attention and flopped singles hurt her bad with the GP this era. Is Taylor lowkey responsible for ruining Katy's career and image?

Keep it cute girls.

Taylor isn't responsible for Katy's bad music and promotion. That's just what happens when you try to fuck with the Snake Cult Queen.:taylucifer3:

But Taylor is one of the most popular and richest celebrities out there right now. She has the best producers and team etc. She could easily pull a few strings and have Katy blacklisted etc.

The media smear campaign against her after Chained for no apparent reason

:taylucifer3:

Sabotaging her album release

:taylucifer3:

Making a song about her in the first placed followed by an extravagant video featuring tons of celebrities, turning their feud into an event for herself basically.

Actually so true :lmfao:

I felt like i barely saw Taylor anywhere promoting the week of Reputation released. Meanwhile Katy was everywhere and trying to spill as much tea/make as much noise as possible....and literally not a single fuck was given

:evillaugh:

Katy did A LOT of promo. Fans will say it was the promo, that it lacked or that it was botched or "not good promo" :lmfao: But Miss Katy was OUT THERE everywhere literally hiding under tables.

Taylor didn't do shit, Katy just didn't know how to handle too much stuff, didnt know how to keep a shade and decided to 'reinvent' when she shouldn't. Even though i hate Taylor, i couldn't agree more:

I feel like Taylor didn't do anything. She was able to just watch Katy's career implode from her throne whilst snakes served her the tea. :taylucifer3:

Lol no it doesn't work this way; the GP isn't here for a stupid petty fight. And anyways, even if she's capable which she isn't, no human would be so cruel to decide "I WANT TO RUIN HER CAREER" over backup dancers. That's not an act one would do with a light heart.

She made a whole song and ended their friendship over these backup dancers. Stop living in utopia. Clearly Taylor dislikes Katy.

Good for her. She doesn't have that much power. She can make a diss track about her and only the stans would rejoice. Stop living in the fictional stan world. The under-average quality of Katy's music has no relation to Taylor.

She has that much power. I don't know what world you're living in.
I'm living in a fictional stan world but Taylor ironically released her discog on Spotify the same day Witness was released. Is that not the most petty and ridiculous thing ever? But "Taylor doesn't have that much power"

Katy sabotaged herself with her music quality but let's be real, the GP doesn't care for quality.

You said it yourself. Katy sabotaged herself with her music quality, not Taylor.

It had nothing to do with the music. Do you think the GP actually cares? Calling Witness a bad album like us stans because they care so much about quality content?

No. Chained performed just fine. The problem was the terrible media attention she was receiving in America (strange....) and botched releases. More than anything it seems like Katy was sabotaged. All of her other eras were perfect.

The GP are the main consumers and where most of the sales come from. They listen and buy what they like lol. In no world Taylor's release of her discography on Spotify ruin anything. Ariana Grande's My Everything era was released about the same time, and the singles sold count for more than 1989 did WW and the album sold very well, so Taylor's presence isn't a "threat".

Mariah Carey released a successful hit that was a diss track towards Eminem but his career is still strong so.. yeah, she couldn't influence shit. The GP can't just support an artist and listen to their music even if it's lower quality than usual - that doesn't exist. Hell, we're all part of the general public who consume music we're not an "elite" class; we only have a more open mind on newer and older music but that doesn't mean we basically don't drop artists if we don't dislike their discography.

The bad media was brought upon Katy by herself. The bad music quality was made by Katy herself. The bad image she gave by cutting her hair, was also given to her by herself. The goofy "woke" meme behavior was also a bad decision by Katy herself. All of this accumulates into a floppy era with the album and the singles being subpar contributing as the main reason of Katy's decline. Taylor hasn't reached the status of God yet and that won't happen anytime soon.

You're just being rather dense. Taylor is incredibly popular, if not one of the most popular, she's bringing in the most $ in album sales for all of the female pop-stars right now. Of fucking course she has the power to sabotage Katy. This is how the REAL WORLD works - I know you'd like to THINK Taylor COULDN'T end Katy if she wanted to, but she actually COULD - and she kind of DID. You'll just have to come to terms with this.

Good thing you brought up Mariah. Her ex-HUSBAND Tommy tried to sabotage her career MANY times, for further example.

Or, maybe, you know, perhaps you're just rather ill-mannered. Taylor released Bad Blood and then there was this Katy vs Taylor feud that was interesting then and everybody forgot about. LWYMMD shaded Katy and The Rolling Stones and similar popular media websites decoded the video and it was over with.

So she shaded Katy, then what? Are we just going to ignore that Katy's bad music, meme behavior, terrible haircut, and lack of longevity weren't the main reasons? Taylor could shade Katy to hell and back and that wouldn't make her flop.

Also, good thing that you brought Mariah's ex husband. Tommy tried to sabotage her career MANY times, but she still rose successful kQc6fFk.png.

Taylor helped end her. You can't deny facts sweetheart. I'm sorry. This is how the world works.
