it's clear af that she was WHITE when she first came out, then she suddenly started to turn black for some reason. I think it was around 2014-2015. That's when she started to use blaccent in her music too. Why does she get away with BLATANTLY appropriating black culture, when some people literally get crucified only for wearing braids? Why does she want to look black/multiracial so bad? Is it because Mariah is actually biracial?

It’s called a tan :shriek:

people use to question my enthicity all the time because my skin was so dark.

Simple answer is No.

As far as her accent and vernacular go, it could have adapted from the people she surrounds herself with, adopting speech patterns and words or phrases. It’s a very common thing.

And she looks better now than she did, so I can see why she would rather look like current Ariana instead of 2011 Ariana

There’s no such thing as “appropriating black culture”. I can’t. White people can do and wear what they want and so can black people. Nothing belongs to either race.

Imagine thinking having a tan is somehow problematic or appropriating anything. SJWs have to STOP

if this isn't somehow problematic...

Didn't she need to look like that because of the role she played or smth?

WOW, now that's a TRANSFORMATION.
Seeing both pics side by side makes you think. She looks like a totally different person than her older self.

Why is it problematic to have a tan? :rip:

that's more than just a "tan". She literally CHANGED her skin tone/color. She looks darker than Nicki in some shots. :rip: She just comes off as super fake and insincere. She will never be a black woman, no matter how much she tans. And tbh it's very disrespectful to the black community. she should apologize to them.

No, it’s literally a tan. Nothing more. It’s not disrespectful to black people for white people to have a tan. Stop :rip:

Tanning is now problematic? :lmfao:

It's not even something new, It used to be a trend in the 2000's and high profile celebs used to do it

Kim K also does it currently

The problem is Ariana could easily pass as a black woman the she naturally isn't. You can embrace black culture and not have to change your appearance in order to do so.
