it just leaked on the internet so i decided to watch it, never been so bored in my life, WAY TOO LONG, why did they make a 2 hour movie for this basic story

even high school music 2 is better

OT: I haven't watched the movie yet (sadly) but I'm planning to, the soundtrack is good as well

 My suspicion is payola + Hollywood politics. But the fact it won the Venice film festival is disturbing. I have to say it does look boring and poorly acted. 

Movie critics cannot be paid to write good reviews. That kind of thinking is UnAmerican as it seeks to delegitimize the press

Good thing I'm Canadian. And the critic reviews are international not just from America? But yes it seems highly unlikely they used payola. However, I'm not completely ignorant and believe everything the press says. Is being a skeptic not allowed in America?
