Why ArtPop is a failed abort

Recommended Posts

In 2013, Gaga started the first world war when she realesed Applause next to Katy's Roar single

Katy won, and Gaga's messy abort called ArtFlop didn't got attention, that made Gaga an unnecesary human being in the pop scene.

But why she flopped?

Bad singles selection

Her label didn't let her to work at production, and her up late album called ArtPop Act 2 got cancelled

The album missed a lot of chances of singles, incredible songs like Swine or Donatella got rejected

Gaga injured her hip

Cheek to Cheek album

But is ArtPop really bad?

No, not at all, i'm not a Gaga stan, i'm neutral about her, but ArtPop is a good album, why?

Synth pop, Electro pop songs reminds us to Kesha's Animal album

This album is unique in the pop scene, really similar to Britney's Femme Fatale at sounds, wich gave Gaga to be compared with a pop legend

The single Applause gave Gaga more fans

Did Gaga deserved the hate at social media?

Absolutely no.

ArtPop is good, and unique at its scene and sound. Underrated album.

Pick your faves, and let me know your opinion about ArtPop. Xoxo, Jupiter.♡

Let's all be real. The album failed to do well because it was too experimental. Yes maybe wig she's trying new things but see where and what experimental albums do. Kesha's Rainbow, Xtina's Liberation and Mariah's Rainbow and so on. Experimental album DO NOT END WELL especially if it's pop, the only pop albums that were executed well were Pop2 by Chair.exe and SOPHIE's album.

ARTPOP Didnt Flop it Flopped By Gaga's Standards

Her Ex-Manager Wanted an Album Out By 2012 (Just 1 Year After Born This Way) and while her hip was healing

the management of this album was shit since her manger decided to leave her while the album was going thru its shitty promo to work on Spotify

ARTPOP was not as experimental as she intended the edm trend died after 2012

ARTPOP Act 2 was set in place to be released in august of 2014 but it was suddenly dropped

the ARTPOP App was supposed to have the ACT 2 Tracks but that APP was dropped also

these were all cancelled because of her Ex-manager he owns everything that happened that era which is the reason why alot of plans were dropped with no explanation

as she isnt legally allowed to say anything

then again thru all the messiness you cant deny that era was fun

it's been nearly 5 years since Lady Gaga released ARTPOP To anyone that says it's a flop that's simply not true nor the reason why it's so controversial

She was the second highest paid celebrity according to Forbes in 2013, just behind Oprah Winfrey.

It's to do with her broken promises, her secretiveness, and the sudden big career changes she took after ARTPOP. It felt as though to fans, she abandoned the album (eg beginning acting, performing Jazz standards etc)

why she was bailing on certain projects at the time (like promised music videos, apps, collaborations) Many, still unexplained decisions.

Never the less: - It debuted at #1 on Billboard 200

- #1 WW Charts

- #1 Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums

- At the time it was the fastest album to hit #1 on iTunes

- Her highest rated album on Metric

- Spawned the #1 World Wide hit single 'Applause'

- Many other singles charted into the top ten without music videos supporting their release

- ArtRave: The ARTPOP Ball Made 83 million USD.

- 2 million copies sold

- Platinum Certified in the US

- 1 Billion streams

- During this era, she also won and was nominated for Billboard Music Awards, BMI Awards, Brit Award, MTV EMA Awards, MTV VMA Japan Awards, Clio Awards, Glamour Award, Guinness World Records, iHeartRadio Music Award etc

Because of the poor promotion on Gaga's team, it was ultimately voted, “2013’s most underrated album”. To The fans, this has been the last bittersweet slice of Gaga Pop we've had in the last 5 years

thank you for coming to my ted talk
