Adele's Titanic Party. Insensitive or Representative of Her Career Trajectory

Recommended Posts

People found her Titanic themed birthday party as insensitive due to her life jackets

But I think the party overall fits her career trajectory

Titanic represents her, and her large career

The iceberg is her limited creativity

She's been singing in the mindset of a 50 year old, and like a 50 year old her career is soon to be half dead

She themed her birthday party around a tragedy that killed 1.5k people and wore life jackets which many people didn’t have and died... I get it’s influenced by the movie but she could have stayed a little closer to it.

It kinda is. Imagine throwing a party themed after Pearl Harbor or Nagasaki/Hiroshima bombings. Even if the Titanic tragedy was not caused directly by people, it is a tragedy nonetheless. There are so many themes to choose from, why did she choose that one?

It was influenced by the movie and if we're talking about if it's insensitive or not then the movie is at fault as well (making and selling entertainment at the expense of a tragedy)

The movie remains respectful to the tragedy. It’s not a drunken and disrespectful party a British mom held.

This is like what happened on celebrity big brother.

Keisha didn’t want to admit that what Donald trump is doing is just as bad as what Bill Cosby did.

Double standards are gross

I will never understand why the gays hate Adele so much

It’s obviously because she doesn’t go out of her way to acknowledge the LGBT community. She more as sees people as... people an entire race instead of generalizing a group and making promotion to cater only to a group.

Smart!
