The Eurovision Song Contest  is the longest-running annual international TV song competition, held, primarily, among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1956. The competition was based upon the existing Sanremo Music Festival held in Italy since 1951.

The 2017 competition has been won by Portugal's Salvador Sobral with his song "Amar Pelos Dois". Therefore, the 2018 contest is to be held in Portugal.

I saw something on Facebook and I could not agree more: " The Eurovision is like a gay singing Olympics". And I love it :demifat:

I've been there in Copenhagen 2014 for the final (the year Conchita won) and I can mostly confirm that.. there are many LGBTQ people there (that's totally fine) so that I eventually belong to minority that doesn't belong there I guess.. but I really love watching and following the contest each and every year, it's the reason why I chose French as my 2nd language in school (now I might study in France for a semester) and I got to meet many nice people.. it's really entertaining to watch and there are always some good songs ^_^

I had no idea Italians inspired the ESC with Sanremo, our impact is huge. :demifat:

This year's winner was totally undeserved anyway.
