the second one is the only one i've ever watched, it was good, even though i watched it in school and it's been years and years

Romeo & Juliet is one of my favorite Shakespeare classics. 

I saw the original film in high school, freshman year ... the DiCaprio/Danes film hadn't come out yet or had just come out at the time. I ended up seeing it a few years later when it was on vhs. 

I really enjoyed both films, the original moreso bc it's more accurate to the writings. I like the 96 adaptation, but it peeves me in a way with the traditional dialog in the more modern setting ... I didn't care for that. I do still watch it from time to time tho, for the nostalgia.
